EXPERIENCE
Todd Art Gallery- Middle Tennessee State University 9/06 - Present
Gallery Director/Coordinator, sometimes curator and secretary of the MTSU Todd Art Gallery in the Department of Art. Work with the Department Chair, Faculty, and staff to plan exhibitions and upcoming events. Monitor gallery’s budget, oversee publicity, design and coordinate promotional materials, coordinate and set the schedule and assist the preparator with overall presentation of exhibitions.
Studio S Pottery 8/89 – Present
Vice President and business manager for family-owned clay artist studio and gallery. Involved heavily in research & design of clay body, glazes and new items. Lead production of all hand-built items of stoneware & raku. Participate in the development and fabrication of architectural terra cotta for new buildings and historic preservation. Teach classes in hand-building and manage the advertising, publicity, scheduling, and bookkeeping. Photograph and maintain a digital file of studio & student work and direct webmaster on business website.
Rutherford County Election Commission 7/02 - Present
Voting Machine Technician that maintains, prepares, services, and validates for official use as many as 276 voting machines for each election in Rutherford County. Further involves assisting the office staff as needed during elections and providing a face and assistance to
poll-workers and the public on election days concerning issues with proper usage of voting machines. When possible also attends yearly statewide and regional conferences of Tennessee election officials for updates on current and new federal and state election law.
WRLT-FM/AM9/88 – 10/90
Served as on-air talent and production staff for radio programming, contests and promotions which included music selection, weather reports, live remotes, and University of Tennessee and Nashville Sounds sporting events where the feed was simulcast to network affiliates from the WRLT master feed.
